I Am Becoming Someone I NEVER Thought I Would Become

What the heck is this world coming to?! Ahhh!!!

Ok so get this...I have become a gym rat over the past 2 months! Who would have thought? I used to cringe at the thought of going to the gym. But now I itch to go every day. Heck I was sick today and I still wanted to go to the gym! If I don't go it drives me nuts and I miss it. Yep, you heard that right, I miss it! I look forward to going everyday. It is so weird to think that I actually enjoy going to the gym! Also I have become very conscious of what I eat...which is like a complete 180 of how I was even back in December. I used to basically live off fast food and eating out with friends. Since January I have eaten at a fast food place once (only because of traveling) and I even managed to eat "healthy" even then. I also only go out to eat with friends maybe once a week..sometimes once every couple weeks. Such an improvement!! You have no idea how happy and proud of myself I am!! I have also managed to lose 17 pounds since January! I feel great and hope to keep it up!! I love this new and improved me!

Anyone have any tips on things that have helped you to be healthy and stay active? I am always looking for new items and tips that will help me stay on track!

**I have been working on starting another blog to track my daily ups and downs with getting healthy and fit....I hope to get it up and running sometime this week! I hope y'all will choose to follow and give me tips and motivation!**

My Creation for the Day!

Next weekend my mom and I are throwing my cousin a baby shower! It's going to be a lot of fun! This weekend I decided to make a diaper cake for her and I am very happy with how it turned out!! Thought I would share with y'all how I did it!

1) Gather supplies: You'll need at least 72 newborn diapers, 2 bottles, small clear hair rubber bands, large rubber bands, double stick tape, large ribbon, and flowers of your choice (not pictured).

2) Individually roll each diaper and wrap with clear rubber bands.

3) Use the bottle to form the base of the cake around and start building the 1st tier, by making 3 circles of diapers.

4) Insert the second bottle and build the second tier around it, by forming 2 circles of diapers.

5) Build the 3rd tier with just one layer of rolled diapers.

6) Use large ribbon around each tier to cover the rubber bands and secure with double stick tape.

7) Make sure ribbon and all layers are even and then insert the flowers into the open top bottle.

And here is the finished diaper cake!!

What do y'all think of it? Do you think it needs anything more? I have til Saturday to make it perfect...any suggestions are welcome!!

Blast From The Past!

Since I have been home this weekend I looked through old photo albums and found some of my favorite pictures of when I was younger and I thought I would share them with y'all.

Great Words By An Amazing Person

Thought I'd share this from today...this was on the back of the bulletin from the funeral and I am truly moved by these words...

"I pity the man who has had a life, free of ailments - where he has never faced his mortality, never thought of His maker - never even asked the question why? never thought of his life and of his mortality - never got to the depths of having nowhere else to go - but to God
my ailment - gives me pause to think - and to thank - to thank God for what I have enjoyed - because every day is good, my daughter is a little cuter, day by day, my wife is a little sweeter, my sons stand a little taller -
the meaning of my life - I am not sure, I may never grasp the fullness of what I wanted to be - all the more reason to focus on life, on living - strong yes, but more importantly, faithful - not consumed by my self, but of others - I have not fame, nor fortune, I therefore must claim my faith-"
Jeff Blanton (2/23/59-3/24/10)
written on the inside of a church envelope

It was such an amazing service...it was evident how many lives he touched!

Such A Sad Night...

I can't stop crying right now...I am a mess! It is so hard to lose someone you care so much about!

Just got news that a friend of mine's father passed away this evening. He was such a huge part of my church back home. Everyone is grieving his loss. He was such an incredible man and such a fighter. I am going to miss him so much!

Looks like I will be going home this weekend for the funeral.

We love you Mr. B and you will be dearly missed by all!!

On Saturday I went home to Jacksonville for my friends LeAnne and Ryan's wedding! It was absolutely gorgeous!! The ceremony took place at our church, which was gorgeous, and the reception was held at The Florida Yacht Club, which is on the St. John's River. The reception was fabulous and a ton of fun!! I have a bunch of pictures from the wedding...so this post contains a lot of pictures...enjoy!

I am about to head to the gym for a quick workout & then I am hitting the road to Jacksonville! I have a wedding to attend tonight and I am super excited for it!! It is going to be a ton of fun! Then it is back to Tally on Sunday...just a short trip. I'll post pictures when I return!

I bought the cutest shoes for tonight that I just had to share. They are simple, but oh so cute!
And I got them for only 40 bucks at Shoe Station! I can't wait to wear them tonight! Just thought I'd share my cute find! Hope you all have a great weekend!!

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Since I will be unable to partake in the festivities this year (sad, I know), I have decided to do a flashback of last year's day of festivities! Here in Tallahassee they throw a HUGE Block Party on the Tennessee Strip. It is insane! It starts on Tuesday at 10pm and goes straight until Thursday at 2:00am! It is quite the experience! Since it is literally across the street from campus...students go between class and drink green beer. So you see everyone in your classes in their party attire, green wristbands, progressively getting drunker as the day goes on! Nothing like drinking between classes! hahaha! Here are some pictures from last year!

The cramped car ride to the St. Patty's Day Block Party!

The girls! (You can see everyone getting progressively drunker in every picture! haha!)

Our friends had to go into the "Rick's Toy Box" hummer and switch clothes! Funniest contest ever!!

Ohh the memories! Great times! I wish I was able to participate this year for my last St. Patty's Day in college! But no such luck! :( Hope everyone has a fantastic day! Make sure you wear green!!

XOXO,
