Weekend Recap & Planning A Road Trip!

I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend! This weekend I went home to Jacksonville and spent it with friends and family! 

Saturday~ I went over to my cousin Brandi's to visit and see her newborn baby boy! He was born last Tuesday and I was super excited to get to see him this weekend! His name is Lucas and he is absolutely adorable!! 

Saturday night~ I went to a friend's graduation party and it was great to hang out with all of our old friends, it was a great time! 

Sunday~ I woke up and drove to Jacksonville beach where I met up with some friends and hung out. It was absolutely perfect beach weather! I definitely miss the beach! 

Monday~I went shopping out at the St. John's Town Center with my parents and went to lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. Yum! After spending the afternoon at the town center I then had to drive back to Tallahassee. All in all, I had a very good weekend! 

So this coming weekend I will be departing on a 5 day road trip! I am super excited!! Details of the road trip and destinations will come in another post a little later this week!

Catching Up!

I have been so caught up in all the graduation hoopla over the past 2 weeks, so I am sorry that I have been so bad at posting at commenting lately! 

This past week and weekend were awesome! I had a very short week at work...only had to work til Wednesday! Since Wednesday was of course Cinco de Mayo, my friend and I went out to El Jalisco to celebrate! We had such a great time! Here are some pictures from the evening...

Then on Thursday I packed up and drove home to Jacksonville to help my mom set up for my graduation party on Saturday afternoon! Thursday and Friday were spent running around town, cleaning, cooking, and setting up for the party!

Saturday was party day!! The party started at 4pm and we had about 50-60 people show up! The party was a ton of fun and a complete success! Thanks to my awesome mother, we had sooo much delicious food! She cooked almost everything! We had a delicious fajita bar and other Mexican goodies! It was all so good! Sunday was obviously Mother's Day! We had all the family back over for round 2 and for leftovers from the party. We had a great time! Then I drove back to Tallahassee.

I Am Officially An FSU Alum!!

I am now officially a graduate of THE Florida State University!! Ahhhh so weird! So sorry I haven't blogged in a few days, but I have been super busy with graduation stuff! I really can't believe that I am no longer a college student! So strange feeling! Thought I would fill y'all in on what has been going on and share with y'all some pictures from Saturday's graduation!

Friday: I had the day off from work, which was nice! My parents and grandmother came into town around dinner time and we went to dinner at Bonefish!

Saturday: GRADUATION DAY!! Was up before 6am in order to be ready to leave by 7:30am. Got to the Civic Center a little after 8 and graduation started right at 9am! It was so surreal to be there...it didn't really hit me that I was graduating from college until the President told us to stand and turn our tassels and then declared us as "graduates." Then it hit me. I started to tear up! It hit me that the 4 best years of my life were coming to a close! Thank you FSU, you did me well! :)

After the ceremony we went to lunch at Gordos and then went back to my place and I opened gifts and we had cupcakes!

Then we went back to campus to Wescott to take pictures by the fountain before my parents and grandmother left to head back to Jacksonville!

Later on I met up with friends to continue the celebration at Monk's for food and drinks!

All in all, it was a fantastic day that I will never forget!! Thanks to everyone who made it wonderful!

Best Weekend EVER!

I just had the best weekend I have had in a LONG time! Such a fantastic weekend with my 3 fabulous roommates! On Friday night we decided that we wanted to take a trip to the beach this weekend and we saw that Corey Smith was going to be playing in St. George Island on Saturday, so that made our decision easy! St. George Island...here we come!!

Saturday morning we got up and hit the road at 9am and was on St. George Island and sunbathing by 11am!

We laid on the beach until about 4:30pm and then found a random bathroom to change and get ready for the concert.

Then we walked over to Harry A's where they had a stage set up in the sand for "Rock by the Sea." Corey Smith went on at 6:30pm and played an awesome show! We had a blast!

After the concert we then walked down to the Blue Parrot for dinner and drinks. Turned out to be an absolute blast! A band was playing and my roomies and I got the party started in the place by getting up and dancing to the band! We ended up hanging out with a bunch of awesome guys that we met that were there for a Bachelor Party! They were looking for a great time and we had a blast with them!!

Also Corey Smith showed up at the bar and was hanging out with everyone which was really cool! He then hopped up in stage and played a few of his songs! So we got two Corey Smith concerts in one day! 

We ended up staying a lot longer than planned because we were having such a great time partying on the beach at that bar with those guys! But we ended up driving back to Tallahassee at 2am. Talk about a rough drive! It was quite the entertaining ride to say that least!

I had such an amazing time with my roommates this weekend! I love them! It was great to do one last weekend trip together before graduation! I sure am going to miss random college trips like this! 

Sunday was spent laying by the pool all day. We relaxed and discussed the events and stories from Saturday. Lots of fun. We definitely plan on having another weekend like this again during the summer before we all move away! 

I only have 12 more days til graduation!! Crazy!! This is my last week of classes...ever! And then it is finals week after, right before graduation! I also pick up my cap and gown today! So excited!!!!
